1. Who we are
LaundryFlow ("we", "us", "our") is an offline-first point-of-sale and business management system for laundry shops in the Philippines, operated by [TODO: LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], with contact address [TODO: ADDRESS]. This policy explains how we handle personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
2. What data we collect
a) Trial and account information. When you start a free trial or subscribe, we collect your business name and email address, and — where applicable or requested — your name and phone number. For the free trial, an account is created for you with the credentials you set.
b) Business data you enter. When you use LaundryFlow, you (or your staff) enter data about your shop's operations: customer names, contact numbers, addresses, orders, payments, inventory, and expenses. This data belongs to your business. We process it only to provide the service to you.
c) Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider (PayMongo). We receive payment confirmation records (amount, date, status) but we do not store your card or e-wallet credentials on our systems.
d) Communications. If you message us on Facebook or email us, we keep a record of the conversation for support purposes.
e) Technical data. Device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location, collected when you visit our website or use the app — used for security, sync reliability, and improving the product.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, operate, and maintain LaundryFlow (orders, receipts, sync, backups)
- To process subscriptions and license activations
- To provide customer support
- To send service communications: payment confirmations, license details, renewal reminders, trial notifications
- To send product updates and laundry business tips only where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe anytime
- To enforce trial rules — for example, retaining the email address used on a trial to prevent abuse of repeated free trials
- To improve the product through aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data or your business data to anyone, ever.
4. Where your data is stored
On your device. LaundryFlow is offline-first: your orders, customers, and records are saved locally on your device first, so the app keeps working even without internet.
In the cloud. When connected to the internet, your data syncs to secured cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase for backup and multi-device access. Trial accounts are hosted on our secure servers.
Trial data. Data you enter during the free 7-day trial is stored under your trial account on our platform. If the trial ends without an upgrade, all trial data is automatically deleted. To enforce our one-trial-per-business rule, the email address used for the trial may be retained after deletion — for that purpose only.
5. Third-party services we use
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, each under their own privacy obligations:
- Supabase — cloud database, authentication, and storage
- PayMongo — payment processing (GCash, cards)
- Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
- Meta / Facebook — when you contact us via Messenger, and for website analytics/advertising measurement
- Hostinger — website and free-trial hosting
6. Your customers' data
If you operate a laundry shop using LaundryFlow, you are responsible for the personal data of your own customers that you enter into the system. We process that data on your behalf, only as needed to run the service. As the business owner, you must handle your customers' data in compliance with applicable laws (including RA 10173) — for example, only collecting what you need and honoring customer requests regarding their data.
7. Retention
- Trial data: automatically deleted when the 7-day trial ends without an upgrade; the trial email address may be retained solely to enforce the one-trial-per-business rule
- Account and business data: kept while your subscription or license is active; deleted within thirty (30) days of a verified deletion request, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or accounting purposes
- Payment records: retained as required by Philippine law for accounting and tax purposes
8. Your rights under RA 10173
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is processed
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Object to processing, or withdraw consent
- Erasure or blocking of data under certain conditions
- Damages from violation of your data privacy rights
- Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC)
To exercise any right, contact us at [TODO: CONTACT EMAIL] or via our Facebook page. We respond within thirty (30) days.
9. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, staff permission levels inside the app, and device-bound licensing for Offline installations. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your business data the way we'd want ours treated.
10. Children's data
LaundryFlow is a business tool and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product grows. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and — for significant changes — by email or in-app notice to active customers.
